Reading becoming a luxury activity nowadays, especially for those books that are difficult to understand. It requires not only your time and mostly attentions to read and understand the book.

With Internet and information booming, I made a bad habit of skim through books or articles online. Reading the title and then some highlighted keywords. Then quickly moved to the bottom of the page for comments and reviews. When these readings become fast and easy, I choose to read those are easy to understand and easy to adapt article. Days went by, I felt like my knowledge and understanding to the world become smaller and smaller.

Also as a IT professional as myself, I tend to focus on the articles and readings within the IT field. while i understand this is good for my profession career, but it sort of narrowed my view to see the world and humanity as a whole.

I was lucky of picking up some readings and understand these patterns and it was like an alarm clock that woke me up from my daily zombie life.

I realized that I need to build my knowledge castle and affirm my understanding to the world. And put my IT knowledge as a section to this framework and explore as much as I can.
